Hi, friends! We will have a meeting this upcoming Thursday (May 17th) at the Village Green. Stop by for some community, learn more about the Village Green at either the Civic Garden Center's website or the Village Green Foundation's website. A huge thank you goes out to the Village Green, which has generously offered their space for us to use. We'll be talking about the new meeting space, the upcoming weekly women's health nights, and planning for the July fundraiser. Even if you've never been to a Dandelion event before, make sure to stop by! Bring your ideas and passion for learning more about your own body and heath. Hope to see you there!

Hey good folks-
Bring your favorite health and sexuality related resources and your beautiful selves to Sidewinder Coffee next Thursday, April 19th! We'll meet at 7 PM for a resource swap and collaborative zine making. What does this mean?
If you have your own writing, illustrations, photos, etc. you'd like to put into a zine (a small homemade publication), bring them along in original or copy form. If you have a book you love, a favorite picture, or something along those lines, make a copy and bring that along (we won't have a copier available). We'll cut and paste and make our own health and sexuality related media!
Also, bring any books, videos, etc. you'd like to share with collective members. It'll be like a DIY health and sexuality show-and-tell. Make sense? Anything you'd like to share, bring it along.
Also, make sure to check out other modes of electronic communication:
email us at info@dandelionhealthcollective.org to be put on our mailing list if you have a LiveJournal, we do too! dandelioncincy.livejournal.com If you use another blogging program (blooger, blogspot, etc.) you can find RSS feeds for our updates at http://dandelioncincy.livejournal.com/data/rss If you use a google calendar, look for us and add our calendar.
Hope to see you there! There are a lot of exciting things on the horizon for us, and it would be great if you, dear reader, could be on board (or maybe you already are!).

Thanks to everyone who came to our meeting! We discussed some really great things and we have a lot planned for the coming months. I will organize the notes so that those of you who want to get involved know where and when to plug in by the *****'s Please email the collective if you have any questions.
Notes from Meeting Thursday, 3/15/07 at Sidewinder Coffee Present: Abby, Brook, Lauren, Maria, Jane
UPDATES: Hobo Books, our wonderful supportive space, is closing permanently due in part to major structural issues with the building. We are very sad to see it go, for our collective as well as for Northside and Cincinnati. So, on a practical note, we are looking for a new space that is free, wheelchair accessible, centrally located, open from 7-9 every third Thursday and appropriately sized.
We have been invited to table and possibly do a workshop at NKU's Earthfair. April 18 10-3 on NKU's Campus. Lauren, Abby and Jane are going. **Let us know if you can come!!**
Cealidh Public Radio (CPR) Would like to to a Podcast interview with Dandelion. Jane will do this.*** Anybody else????***
The new Bike coop is opening soon! They will be having a ride on Sunday, April 15. Not sure of the time yet. Anybody know?
Send us your five favorite health resources (books, videos, zines etc...) and we'll put them on our resource page on the web!
NEW SPACE IDEAS: Village Green on Knowlton. This would most likely be in conjunction with the new Bike Coop. -Lauren volunteered to talk with Village Green -Bike Coop meetings are at 2 every Sunday at Sidewinder Coffee. **Lets go and speak with them about working together more.**
Correyville Library, other Libraries **Someone needs to call Corryville to see what their availability is.**
WORKSHOPS: We decided to not combine workshops and potlucks. It was just too much for folks. Also, Maria volunteered to type up a guide on how to hold a Dandelion workshop so that ANYBODY can do one!
Jane will do a weekly discussion on Women's health. These discussions will start in mid June and will be held outside every Monday at 6:00pm this summer. Topics will include (but are not limited to): fertility and infertility, menstrual charting, menopause, natural hormone balancing, herbal abortions, menstrual extraction, stress and relaxation, healing with foods, sex and sexuality, gender and women's herbs.
We need a volunteer to do a workshop on Thursday, May 17 at 7. Location TBA.
THURSDAY, APRIL 19 is our next meet-up. It will be at 7 at Sidewinder. Bring your favorite health resources, art and ideas because together we are going to make a zine on health in Cincinnati!!!
MONEY:
Maria is doing research on GRANTS! Ideas- Northside Community Fund, Community Shares, Youth and Global Warming ($500)
***We will be having our Drag Ball fundraiser on July 14th, 2007 hopefully at the College Hill Town Hall.***
***OUTREACH:***
Banner making with Jane and Maria on Sunday, April 15 around 3:30 unless that interferes with the Bike Coop Ride.
We will march in Pride on June 10 (Sun).
We will March in the Northside 4th Parade on the 4th of July.
Those who were at the meeting feel free to add on! Thanks.

Hello Everyone, Thank you for your patience with all the rescheduling. We are trying to work out space issues and we would like to get together as a collective to do some planning. So, on the third Thursday of March (the 15) we will get together at Sidewinder Coffee in Northside at 7pm to discuss: 1) the 2nd annual Genderbender/Drag Ball fundraiser in July, 2) where our regular space will be, 3) our upcoming workshops and activities and 4) creating the resource list for our new website.
PLEASE BE THERE PROMPTLY AT 7! We will set and aganda and try to keep the meeting at one hour.
Also, if you have any ideas for a space, try to do some research into cost, availablity, location etc.
We look forward to seeing everyone!

Oh boy! Things are getting exciting in internetland for the Dandelion Health Collective. We're covered on the social networking front thanks to MySpace, but recently we added a brand new website and a real email address. You can find us http://www.dandelionhealthcollective.org, and send love letters to info at that address. Make sure to stop by every once in a while and see what's going on. We have awesome workshops and other fun things, including a big drag ball fundraiser coming up in July.
